The horsemen are coming?
This spectacular equestrian show put on by the écuyers or horsemen (and women) of the Academy of Equestrian Arts of Versailles is expertly choreographered by French celebrity horse trainer Bartabas.
La Voie de l'écuyer includes the beautiful cream-coloured Spanish Lusitanians performing carrousel movements, Sorayas on long reins, horseback fencing and equestrian improvisation all set to music.
The show is then followed by a visit to the stables, remarkable for their scale and the beauty of their architecture.
